NELLIE BEEZER'S MELTING POT FOLLIES OF 1922:
written and directed by Phillip George.

A group of immigrants graduating in their Americanization class of immigrants put on a musical revue under the tutelage of the inimitable and not-so-politically correct Nellie Beezer. The score is comprised of popular music from the early 20th Century.

A one woman show of the celebrated 50’s era blues singer best known for her hit, “Candy.” A big woman with a big talent and a large appetite for life, Maybelle was born to sing. But she knew the highs and the lows of success and heartache as she struggled her whole life with her weight, drugs, and her relationships with men.

SIGNS OF LIFE: A Tale of Terezin, music by Joel Derfner; lyrics by Len Schiff; book by Peter Ullian; directed by Jeremy Dobrish. This hauntingly beautiful piece about the "model" ghetto Theresienstadt that was created by Hitler when the Nazis took over the Czech town of Terezin is being supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
